NEPAL RELIGION

Nepal Religion
Religion in Nepal is not only a system of social coherence based on certain rituals and beliefs. It is the binding force that ties this mountain kingdom together. Though Nepal is famous as the world's only Hindu Kingdom, equal respect is given to other religions as well. Buddhism is the second largest religion followed in Nepal, others being Tantrism, Islam and Christianity.

Hinduism 86.51%
Buddhism 7.78%
Islam 3.53%
Christianity, Tantrism & others 2.17%

Pilgrimage Sites
East Nepal - Barah Chhetra, Halesi Mahadev, Janakpur, Pathibhara, Tengboche
Central Nepal - Manakaman, Gorkha, Lumbini, Muktinath, Gosainkunda, Tansen, Kathmandu Valley
West Nepal - Swargadwari, Khaptad Ashram

Nepalese Society & Religion
Religion occupies an integral position in Nepalese life and society. In the early 1990s, Nepal was the only constitutionally declared Hindu state in the world. There is, however, a great deal of intermingling of Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. Many of the people regarded as Hindus in the 1981 census could, with as much justification, be called Buddhists.

The fact that Hindus worshipped at Buddhist temples and Buddhists worshipped at Hindu temples has been one of the principal reasons adherents of the two dominant groups in Nepal have never engaged in any overt religious conflicts. Because of such dual faith practic,es and mutual respect the differences between Hindus and Buddhists have been in general very subtle in nature.

Hinduism in Nepal
Hinduism is the major religion of Nepal. In the 1991 census, approximately 89.5 percent of the Nepalese people identified themselves as Hindus. Buddhists and Muslims comprised 5.3 and 2.7 percent, respectively. The remainder followed other religions, including Christianity.

The national calendar of Nepal, Bikram Sambat (B.S.), is a solar Hindu calendar essentially the same to that widespread in North India as a religious calendar, and is based on Vedic principles of time-keeping. The geographical distribution of religious groups revealed a preponderance of Hindus, accounting for at least 87 percent of the population in every region. Among the Tibeto-Nepalese, those most influenced by Hinduism were the Magar, Sunwar, and Rai peoples.

Buddhism in Nepal
Buddhism in Nepal dates from the birth of Siddhartha Gautama himself. Nepal is the meeting point for Indian and Tibetan Buddhist teachers. The country became a repository of Buddhist Sanskrit literature and famous for its production of fine Buddhist art.

Intermingling of Hinduism & Buddhism
There has traditionally been a great deal of intermingling of Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. Many of the people regarded as Hindus in the 1981 census could also in some senses be called Buddhists. Hindus worshipp at Buddhist temples and Buddhists at Hindu temples. The reason for this is that bothHinduism and Buddhism have common roots as religions, and over most of their history, have not been seen as separate communions, but rather rival tendencies within a shared religious tradition.

MY OWEN LEARNING

During the project period I have worked with the company "Nepal Embassy". I have done my internship task very well til now with the company staff. We did each and every process together, with the client which had been done properly, what i supposed to do exactly in the internship project. At the end i have found out, i got an operative solution as a good work together with client i have also built different ideas, knowledge and concept.

CONCLUSION

I have created a concept and i did some research and analysis related with the task. I did reseach about the scenarios of the different users and how they act in the own way with the website. I have also found probleme formualtion to reach my goal.

INTERACTION AND DESIGN

Interaction design focuses on creating engaging interfaces with well thought out behaviors. Understanding how users and technology communicate with each other is fundamental to this field. With this understanding, i can anticipate how users might interact with the system, fix problem early, as well as invent new ways of doing things.

I have made the questions to consider when designing for interaction and interface:

-Conceptual interaction through sketching paper prototyping?

- How Users Can Interact with the Interface physically

-What can users do their finger and stylus to directly interact with the interface?

- Give Users Clues about Behavior before Actions are Taken
What about the appearance (color, shape, size, etc) gives the user a clue about how it may function?
What information do we provide to let a user know what will happen before they perform an action on "Nepal Embassy website"?

- Consider System Feedback and Response Time
What feedback does a user get once an action is performed and how long between an action and a product’s response time?

- Strategically Think about Each Element
Are the interface elements a reasonable size to interact with and are we following standards?

Is the user’s end simplified as much as possible?
Are familiar formats used?

TEACHNOLOGY

Design: photoshop
Photos: camera, mobile
Editing: microsoft word

I have used above tools to make a part of "Nepal Embassy" webpage. On the webpage, I decided to re-edit page of "culture and tourism".

ANALYSIS AND DATA RESEARCH

Analaysis and research

It refers to the way of collecting the data. The choice of method is an important part of the project or research. There is different way to collect the data but it depends on how we use it. It helps people to analyze the problem deeply. Inaccurate data collection can impact the result of a study. There are two types of method i.e. ‘Qualitative Method’ and ‘Quantitive Method’. It is also called design of the report. By using these methods we can choose what kind of data we can collect for the project or research. There are also two types of data collection i.e. ‘Primary Data Collection’ and ‘Secondary Data Collection’. So, the proper details of the method and data collection are listed below:

Collection of Data:

Primary Data Collection:- It indicates the collection of data for a certain aim. It refers to the questionnaire, interview, observation and focus group interview. Basically this data is very useful for the research and project. As it includes both qualitative and quantitive methods of data collection. So, it makes the report more effective.

Secondary Data Collection:- it indicates the collection of data for other aim. It refers to the annual report of the organization, other resources like internet, articles, etc. Basically it is useful when we can’t collect the proper data from primary data collection then we can use the secondary data collection in the report.

Communication Envirnoment

embassy of Nepal in Copenhagen was established in 2007 in reciprocation of the establishment of the Danish Embassy in Kathmandu in 1992 at the Charge d’Affaires e.p. level, which is already upgraded to the Ambassadorial level. In the beginning the Embassy was established at the Charge d’ Affaires a.i. level, which was latter on upgraded to the Ambassadorial level the same year.

Prior to the establishment of residential Mission in Copenhagen, Nepalese Ambassador to the United Kingdom was concurrently accredited to the Kingdom of Denmark. Nepalese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark is concurrently accredited to Finland, Norway and Sweden. The establishment of the Nepalese Embassy in Copenhagen is the reflection of the importance Nepal has laid to her relationship with the Scandinavian friendly countries and the increasing engagement between Nepal and these countries.

H.E. Vijay Kant Lal Karna served as the first Nepalese residential Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark till May 2012. Upon completion of his tenure, the Government of Nepal appointed H.E. Muktinath Bhatta as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, who presented his credentials to Her Majesty the Queen Margrethe II on 11 May 2012.

THREE RING TARGET

Three Ring Target
Three ring targets play a vital role in the project work. Prior to starting my work to design the website, I need to analyse what type of content should I put on the webpage. It should be workable and relevant to meet the desires of our personas. I have collected many key words for the three ring targets and I have found three important values for the improvement of the website. These are as follows:

1. NATURAL BEAUTY: Nepal has a lot to offer to travelers, hikers, and nature seekers. Nepal, it is often said, is a heaven of natural beauty. The marvelous charming beauty of Himalayas in the northern part of Nepal is not only amazing but offers a lifetime experience to visitors. Who wouldn't want to enjoy the beauty of being in the midst of mountain desert in Mustang to the ridges of cristal clear Rara Lake.

2. CULTURAL DIVERSITY: A very old Hindu text has defined Kathmandu as the land of Gods enclosed by beautiful mountains around. Some two hundred years ago, a western visitor wrote that there were as many temples as there were houses and many idols as there were people. In fact, Kathmandu claims one of the largest worshippers of superb historical memorials and temples ever built. Kathmandu Durbar Square lies in the heart of this city. Locally also called as Hanuman Dhoka Palace Square-an earlier station of the Nepalese Royalty. Nepalese celebrate as many festivals as days in a year. Visitors can enjoy the taste of cultural diversity, and therefore, it is not enough to visit Nepal once. Visitor of one time always remains a repeater in the case of Nepal.

3. ADVENTURE :  Nepal is the country of Mt. Everest and host to other eight out of fourteen 8,000 plus height of mountain peaks in the world. In addition, Nepal has so many varieties of trails and trekking routes throughout the country. Visitors can enjoy river rafting, mountain bicking, trekking, mountain climbing, kayaking, bungee jumping, jungle safari and many more adventure activities and opportunities to offer. Therefore, Nepal is one of the best distinations for adventure tourists in the world.

PROTOTYPE

2. Prototype

The Prototyping method is a development method in which a prototype of a final system or product is built, tested, and Improvements are made to make it better. At the end, the final product is developed. In this, the design and implementations are made by consulting both clients and users.

When we start to do our task we have to always thinking a project. How our project should be satisfaction towards the target group. Therefore always we have to tested our doing work as much as possible. After getting feedback and comments from the user (target group) we have to make correct our mistake suddenly.

“Prototyping is the process of building a model of a system. In terms of an information system, prototypes are employed to help system designers build an information system that intuitive and easy to manipulate for end users. Prototyping is an iterative process that is part of the analysis phase of the systems development life cycle.”
